(, one of China's top nine news portals at state level, was launched in 1995. The website consists of three major sections: English Portal, World Online, and English Study. It includes more than 50 sub-sites and over 300 columns.

The website has 35 local websites that offer regional information. Xinhua Daily Telegraph, launched by, is an important part of the website and publishes news both in print and via the Internet.

With publication started in June 1948, People's Daily is among the most influential and authoritative newspapers in China. People's Daily Online was formally launched on January 1, 1997. Now besides 35 local websites in Chinese, it also has websites in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Tibetan, Korean, Mongolian, English, Japanese, French, Spanish, Russian and Arabic, altogether ten lingual versions in disseminating information and news releasing throughout the world.

China Radio International (CRI), founded on December 3, 1941, is the only overseas broadcaster in the People's Republic of China. CRI broadcasts 290 hours of programs each day to all over the world in 43 languages. is the official website of CRI, providing comprehensive information on both Chinese and international topics also in 43 languages. Through the website users can read program transcripts, view illustrations and hear its English radio programs.
