Chinadaily.com.cn, one of China's top nine news portals at state level, was launched in 1995. The website consists of three major sections: English Portal, World Online, and English Study. It includes more than 50 sub-sites and over 300 columns.

Xinhua Net

Xinhuanet.com launched on November 7, 1997 is a news website run by Xinhua News Agency, the state news agency in China. Collecting news resources from over 150 branches all over the world, Xinhuanet.com releases news around the clock in eight languages, namely, Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Japanese and Portuguese. The website has 35 local websites that offer regional information. Xinhua Daily Telegraph, launched by Xinhuanet.com, is an important part of the website and publishes news both in print and via the Internet.

People's Daily Online

With publication started in June 1948, People's Daily is among the most influential and authoritative newspapers in China. People's Daily Online was formally launched on January 1, 1997. Now besides 35 local websites in Chinese, it also has websites in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Tibetan, Korean, Mongolian, English, Japanese, French, Spanish, Russian and Arabic, altogether ten lingual versions in disseminating information and news releasing throughout the world.

CCTV Website

CCTV’s website, started in 1996 by the China Central Television, provides a wide range of information with a focus on news and current affairs. As a bilingual media website, the internationalized cctv.com aims to provide comprehensive information services, including News, TV Guide, Sports, Business, Finance, Entertainment, National Geography, Life, and TV online. Some programs offered on the website are broadcast simultaneously on TV. CCTV.com has become one of the most popular websites in the country.

China Radio International Website

China Radio International (CRI), founded on December 3, 1941, is the only overseas broadcaster in the People's Republic of China. CRI broadcasts 290 hours of programs each day to all over the world in 43 languages. CRI.cn is the official website of CRI, providing comprehensive information on both Chinese and international topics also in 43 languages. Through the website users can read program transcripts, view illustrations and hear its English radio programs.

China Internet Information Center Website

The China Internet Information Center Website -- China.org.cn offers broad access to up-to-date news about China, with searchable texts of government position papers and a wealth of basic information about Chinese history, politics, economics and culture. China.org.cn is launched under the auspices of the State Council Information Office and the China International Publishing Group in Beijing.
