The Chinese Badminton Association was founded in Wuhan on September 11, 1958. It is a national, non-profitable, and non-governmental organization. The Chinese Badminton Association is an independent legal person.
It is the only legal organization that represents China in world badminton activities and organizations, including the International Badminton Federation. The Chinese Badminton Association is a corporative member of the All-China Sports Federation and recognized by China Olympic Committee as a national sports organization.
There are six special committees under the Association. They are the Coaches Committee, the Judges & Game Rules Committee, the News Department, the Research Department, the Youth Committee and the Development Committee.
