The Chinese Bodybuilding Association (CBBA) was founded in Beijing on September 8, 1992. Its headquarters is in Beijing. It is a national non-governmental organization and a member of the All-China Sports Federation.
Major tasks of the Association are:
* to increase the popularity and public participation in bodybuilding
* to work out policies, strategies and competition rules;
* to organize national and international games in China;
* to organize Chinese players to take part in international activities;
* to organize research programs;
* to assist the training of coaches and judges;
* to assist evaluating, approving, and managing the facilities for bodybuilding
The CBBA has the National Committee, the Standing Committee, the Secretariat, the Coaches Committee, the Judges Committee, the Research Committee and the Publicity Committee under it.
