The Wulanmuqi Arts Festival of Inner Mongolia

"Wulanmuqi" means "Red Cultural Working Team" in Mongolian. It appeared in 1957, undertaking the tasks of performing, publicity, tutoring, and service for the people of Inner Mongolia. It is reputed as "hussar on the grassland."

 

The Nadam Festival of Inner Mongolia

The Nadam Festival is held each summer or autumn when the grasslands are at their most scenic and herds are fat. It typically lasts three to seven days, and attracts horsemen wearing new ethnic costumes, with their yurts and meat and milk products on light wooden carts.

The Grassland Tourist Festival of Inner Mongolia is a large-scale annual tourist and trade festival held in Huhhot City around August. It was first held in September 1991.

 

The Daming Temple Fair

In 1952, the temple fair was revived and changed into a large-scale fair of commercial exchanges and trading. The main activities include religious sacrifices to the Data, films, song and dance performances, cultural relics exhibitions, sports competitions, and trading.

 

The Prince's Residence Tourist Festival

The Prince's Residence Tourist Festival is held annually by the government of Kelaqin Banner of Chifen City. The festival, established in 1998, is held during the summer and autumn period and usually lasts three to five days.

 

The Badain Jaran Desert Culture Festival

The Badain Jaran Desert Culture Festival is usually held in August in Alashan Youqi. The main activities include horseracing, wrestling, camel racing, motorcycling, and automobile desert races.
