Crosstalk Artist--Guo Degang
Guo Degang, a famous Chinese crosstalk actor, was born in Tianjin in 1973. He began to learn crosstalk, Peking Opera, “Hebei Bangzi”, “pingshu”, and so on at the age of 8. His master was Hou Yaowen, a famous xiangsheng actor in China.
Guo went to Beijing in 1995 and established Deyun She, a crosstalk organization, in 1996. He started in teahouses and achieved nationwide fame. In 2005, he became famous throughout the nation by the power of the Internet and the media.
Besides crosstalk performances, Guo also played some roles in movies such as “Getting Home”, “The 601st Phone Call (2006)”, “Getting Home (2007)”, “The Founding of a Republic (2009)”, “Just Another Pandora's Box (2010)”.
