"Tibetan class": Real life story moved onto screen

A true story about a group of Tibetan students and their Han teachers' genuine relationship is brought to big screen. The sensational movie, "Tibetan Class", is a timely gift to the 60th anniversary of Tibet Autonomous Region's peaceful liberation.

The movie plot follows a true story that happened at Liaoyang city No.1 Middle School, where the Tibetan students program was first established in 1985. In the program, numerous Tibetan students have been studying and growing under the care and dedication of Han teachers. The movie aims to capture touching moments from real life.

Zhu Xinyun, director of August First Film Studio said, "We want to tell the story through those Tibetan students, who have experienced the love and care from the teachers and school. The Tibetan kids feel their teachers are more than a teacher, more like a parent."

In the movie, besides professional actors and actresses, there are also seven Tibetan students joining in the shooting, delivering their life experience and true emotion as amateurs along with the pros.

Xire Sangmu, a student actress said, "Either in the movie or in reality, we always feel that our Han teachers take care of us in every aspect, whether it's related to academics or accommodation, they are just like our parents. We live far away from our hometown, but never feel lonely."

The movie production took one year to complete, and the crew worked against the clock in order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Tibet region's peaceful liberation.
