  Sweet Milk Tea

Besides buttered tea, sweet milk tea is another popular beverage among Tibetans. Hot boiling and filtered black tea is poured into a churn, and mixed with fresh milk and sugar. Vigorous churning turns out a light reddish white drink. Many teashops in Southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region serve the sweet milk tea. It is worth a sip on any trip.
