Tian Qing: “Protecting cultural heritage should serve as an important indicator for evaluating the performance of each official.”
Tian Qing, members of the National Committee of CPPCC and researcher at Arts Research Academy of China, suggested that whether cultural heritage can be protected reasonably should serve as an important indicator for evaluating officials’ performance.
In his opinion, when evaluating the performance of an official, apart from his contribution and achievements in terms of GDP, we should also take into consideration his contributions to protecting the environment and regional traditions into consideration, of which the latter should be an important assessment indicator.
