CPPCC member and composer Ye Xiaogang proposed more specific suggestions and said we should, “Choose the most popular aesthetic education carrier, explain and expand socialist core values; make school education and society come into play, have the past service the present and make the knowledge into practice while blending both traditional and contemporary culture together.

Vividly introduce traditional culture to teenagers

For carrying out traditional Chinese culture, we should pay attention to our ethnic cultural heritage.

A grassroots NPC representative and teacher of Yao nationality in Dahua, Guangxi, expressed her statements by illustrating the protection of Yao nationality, she proposed to take full advantage of the media and give attention to ethnic cultural heritages in various fways in order to protect it.

CPPCC member and children’s writer Tang Sulan advocated popularizing the activity of “traditional culture education on campus” throughout the country. She said, “Traditional culture is provided with distinctive features of nation, times and territory, we should spread this the youth groups by using digital tools, which is a project that will require all of whole society to participate in.”

To strengthen Chinese traditional culture education, CPPCC member and vice chairman of the Chinese Writer Association, Gao Hongbo, felt that China should screen the culture and transfer it to teenagers selectively. Vice Director of the National Library, Chen Ping, pointed to teenage education demands and the advancement of times.

The conferee suggested that during the construction of cultural power, we should derive spiritual strength from traditional culture. The promotion of traditional Chinese culture is indispensible to the determination of both media and all parties within society.
