3 As foreigners account for a significant part of the Palace Museum’s visitors, audio guide is a necessity for that particular group. Audio guides of the Palace Museum are in 40 languages, including main foreign languages, languages of other ethnic groups as well as dialects such as Cantonese and Southern Fujian dialect.

Apart from the increasing variety of languages, audio guides have been made more personalized to suit different needs of people of different ages and cultural backgrounds. Various versions are offered, including expert version, story version, teenager version as well as dialogue version.

4 In order to further improve the service, surveys are conducted to obtain practical suggestions from the visitors. At the same time, the Palace museum frequently organizes cultural activities that targeted at teenagers and poverty-stricken families.

All of the above initiatives are aimed at better serving the domestic and foreign visitors, making sure that each visitor who come to visit the Palace Museum can have a pleasant touring experience.
