According to the No.3 Proclamation by the National Development and Reform Commission on Jan 17th, 2006, the Shijingshan Park was accepted as a new member of the Zhongguancun Science Park, with land area of 3.45 square kilometers. The opening ceremony of the Zhongguancun Shijingshan Science Park and the Administrative Committee of the Park was held on August 4th, 2006, which declares the membership of the Shijingshan Park.
The Shijingshan Park is located in the central part of the Shijingshan District next to the beautiful Badachu Park, the Tiantai Mountain Scenic and the Fahai Temple, with excellent culture and humane environment. The Park is divided to the North Zone and the South Zone. The North Zone covers 1.56 square kilometers, with the north border to the Jindingshan Road, the south border to the Xijing Road, the east border to the Badachu Road and the west border to the Pingguoyuan Street. The branch of the Yongding River goes through the North Zone and divides it into two parts. The South Zone covers 1.89 square kilometers, with the south border to the Gucheng West Road, the north border to the Fushi Road, the east border to the Yangzhuang Street and the west border to the Beixin'an Road.
The Park is only 15 minutes drive away from the Zhongguancun Science Park and 45 minutes drive away from Beijing International Airport. The subway line No. 1 goes through the Park and main roads such as Chang'an Street, the Fifth Ring Road, Fushi Road and Lianshi Road are around the Park. Thirteen internal roads of the Park make up a perfect transport net.
Knowledge-intensive institutes are around the Park, such as The North China University of Technology, Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of High Energy Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Electronic Intelligence Institute of the Ministry of Information Industry, and other famous college and institutes. They not only supply numerous talents, but build a rich scientific atmosphere.
Infrastructures besides the Park are preliminarily shaped. Kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, high school and universities make up the education system. Such hotels as Jingyan Hotel, Haite Hotel, and Wanshang Garden Hotel are surrounding the Park. A perfect service support system is being constructed. At the same time, a series of supporting projects such as slap-up communities, residence type apartment, business districts and logistics centers are under construction. A perfect supporting system will be finally built with the characteristics of “small park area, complete support system”.
Industry Status
Technical industry keeps a steadily increasing trend since the start of the Park. In 2006, there were more than 390 technical enterprises in the Park, which achieved an income of 60.69 billion Yuan, with an increase of 87 percent compared with that of the year 2005. A new industrial structure is being shaped steeply with electric information, optical, new material, biological engineering and high-new technology as major factors. Meanwhile, the scale of the industry is notable.
In recent years, cultural and creative industries have developed rapidly with characteristics of digital entertainment. With the construction of Beijing Digital Entertainment Industry Demonstration Base, the construction of the Online Games Incubation Center and the Mobile Games Incubation Center achieved significant progress. A lot of cultural and creative enterprises with characteristics of digital entertainment, such as Beijing Digital-red Mobile Software Company Ltd, have entered the Park. They created and manufactured a sort of cultural and creative products. The National Digital Media Technology Industry Base, the National Online Games and Cartoon Industry Base and the National Electronic Sports Development Center have entered the Park. The Beijing Digital Entertainment Industry Demonstration Base was identified as the first batch of Beijing Cultural Creative Industry Band. They established a characteristic brand and enhance the image of the park.
Industry Planning
Target: Great efforts will be made to turn the Park into a new regional economic growth point, an important carrier of innovation and entrepreneurship, and the engine of “building the Beijing CRD, the harmonious Shijingshan District, the new modern capital city”.
Key industries: Great emphases will be put on the development of the new high-tech industries and the emerging industries in accordance with the CRD positioning.
New high-tech industries: Great emphases will be put on the development of such industries as electric information, new material, energy conservation, environmental protection as well as optical, mechanical and electronic integration.
Great emphases will be put on the development of rising industries so as to support the development of knowledge type modern service such as business office, technical service, recreational entertainment and tourist exhibition in accordance with the CRD positioning.
Industrial Distribution
To speed up in building core area of creative industries: take the North I Zone as the carrier to newly construct and vigorously develop the cultural and creative industries with features of digital entertainment. To invite the leading creative enterprises to enter the Park and gather industries with specialized characteristics.
To improve and upgrade the technical industries pilot zone: take the North II Zone as the carrier to improve and upgrade new high-tech industry, which include electric information, new material, energy conservation and environmental protection. To effectively integrate and reactivate the existing resources so as to enhance the construction of the carriers and to Form the situation of the joint development of both great and small enterprises.
To construct the new industry development area: take the South Zone as the carrier to construct and develop the new high-tech industry and the rising industries in accordance with the CRD positioning so as to invite the leading enterprises which accord with the industrial development positioning.
In order to speed up the development of the Park, the Shijingshan District will carry out a series of favorable policies, together with the those policies by the Zhongguancun Science Park so as to enhance the invitation of new high-tech industry in accordance with the CRD positioning at the same time to support and award the scale increase and the turning of small enterprises into great ones.

Introduction of the boundary of the park
The Shijingshan Park of the Z-Park covers 3.45 square kilometers which is divided to three parts of the North I Zone, the North II Zone and the South Zone.
The North I Zone covers 0.636 square km, with the east border to the gutter of the Workers Infirmary, the south border to the North Road of Yongding River Headwater Channel, the west border to the Pingguoyuan Street and the north border to the Jindingshan Road.
The North II Zone covers 0.913 square km, with the south border to Xijing Road, the west border to the Pingguoyuan Road, the north border to the South Road of Yongding River Headwater Channel .
The South Zone covers 1.89 square km, with the east border to the Yanzhuang Street, south border to the Gucheng West Road and the southern wall of Beijing Shougang Mechanical and Electrical Com. Ltd, the west border to the Beixin’an Road and the north border to the Fushi Road and the Jingmen Railway.
