In the late autumn of Beijing, there is such a place with stunning beauty that is appealing to most people. The place of amazing color is called Diaoyutai, which is a long boulevard with tall Ginkgo trees along each side.

Diaoyutai State Guesthouse is located at the east of Yuyuantan, Haidian district which is a complex made of ancient royal gardens and a modern hotel. In 1958, to host the visiting heads of state and government who were invited to take part in the 10th anniversary of the founding of the P.R.C., the Chinese Government decided to build a state guesthouse on the site of the ancient Diaoyutai scenic spot, which had a history of more than 800 years. After half a century’s endeavor, Diaoyutai State Guesthouse is now internationally renowned for its unique state-banquet cuisine, elegant and thoughtful service and top-grade imperial gardening richly endowed with history and culture.

In autumn, the Diaoyutai State guesthouse is surrounded by red leaves of autumn, flowing in thick, Ginkgo trees outside the walls of the Pan Golden.

Transportation:There are no parking spaces; It is best to take public transport. Take subway Line 1 or Bus 114, 102, 103, 6 and get off at the Muxidi Station.

Tip:Yuyuantan Park is in the vicinity of Diaoyutai. One can have a stroll in the famous park after Ginkgo watching.
