Forum on Cultural Cooperation between China and CEE countries

A forum on cultural cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries (CEE countries) organized by China’s Ministry of Culture in Beijing was held from May 14 to 19, 2013.

The forum, under the theme "Deepen pragmatic cooperation for a better tomorrow," focused on various matters related to cooperation and cultural exchanges, and participants also issued a Guide for Cultural Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries.

China’s Minister of Culture, Cai Wu, highlighted the various achievements of China and CEE countries in the field of cultural cooperation, and put forward five suggestions to further improve their work.

Participants also expressed their views and gave suggestions on communication and intellectual exchange.

Following the forum, participants attended the opening ceremony of the “Retrospective Exhibition on Cultural Exchanges between China and Central and Eastern European Countries” at the National Museum of China, and they also attended a concert by the Forbidden City Chamber Orchestra. They then headed to Shenzhen for the 9th International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF).
