The first China-Arab Forum of National Museum Directors

The first China-Arab Forum of National Museum Directors was held in October at the National Museum of China. The forum was initiated by China's Ministry of Culture, hosted by the National Museum of China and co-organized by the China Arts and Entertainment Group. The forum discussed the current development, successful experiences and vision of cooperation between China and Arabic countries in the arts.

Highlights: A delegation of 16 directors from 13 national museums from the League of Arab States visited China under the invitation of China's Ministry of Culture. The delegation visited Quanzhou — the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road — and Xi'an — the starting point of the Silk Road — after attending the forum in Beijing.
