On October 10, 1911, the Wuchang Uprising broke out. With one province after another declaring independence from the Qing Dynasty government. As a result, the rule of the Qing Dynasty collapsed, marking an end to the feudal autocratic monarchy of more than 2,000 years and founding the first republic in Chinese history.
To pay tribute to the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Revolution of 1911, with the guidance of Chinese Ministry of Culture, our team designed the photo album which is named "A Century of Change". Through the feature, we will share our insight from our hard work with the readers too.

1911 Revolution Animated in Taiwan

This year is the 100th anniversary of the Revolution of 1911. In Taiwan, the first trailer of an animation film to commemorate the 1911 revolution was released on Monday. This film is slated to hit cinemas on both sides of the Straits at the same time this year.

The film tells a story of Sun Yat-sen and many passionate youths fighting for their shared dream. They stand willing to sacrifice their lives for the cause they believe in.

Many of Sun's followers are featured roles in the film, including Huang Hsing who is a great revolutionary and marksman, explosives expert Yu Pei-Lun, the female knight-errant Chiu Chin, and famous revolutionary Lin Chueh-Min.

Chiu Li-Wei, Director of "Sun Yat-sen" said "We wanted to make these historical figures more accessible to the public. Every one has a dream. But how many people are willing to pay whatever he or she can for their dreams?"

The production team consists of cross-Straits artists. The director and producer are from Taiwan while the screen writer is from the Chinese mainland. Veteran actor Chin Chao-Chun will do the voiceover for Huang Hsing, and popular singer J.J.Lin will speak for.
