Global Sustainable Leaders Forum 2010

To celebrate United Nations International Youth Year, Global Sustainable Leaders Forum will be held Nov 22 to Nov 25, in Beijing, China. The forum was launched by the United Nations Youth Office, the Working Group on climate change of the Office of the Secretary at the United Nations and nearly one hundred organizations in the world together. It will be a high-end platform for intergenerational dialogue in the field of global sustainable development. The theme is “low-carbon economic age: the opportunities for global emerging markets”. The forum will last for 4 days. The day for training and an exhibition about the sustainable development is Nov 22, the day for dialogue between intergenerational leaders is Nov 23, the day for capacity building of global sustainable development is Nov 24, and the day for the global innovation seminar on education for sustainable development is Nov 25. The forum will invite 600 representative leaders of today from the field of business, government and nonprofit institutions, and 600 young representatives, or “stars of tomorrow” to further discussion and interaction.

The Global Sustainable Leaders Forum aims to promote intergenerational dialogue, to encourage innovation, promote civic action to build a collaboration platform of governments, businesses and nonprofit organizations for global sustainable development. The organizing committee receives support with kind effort from the outstanding students and youngsters from Harvard University, Cambridge University, Hong Kong University, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China and other world-renowned universities.
