Ice Ballet: Swan Lake, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty  
 

Founded in 1967, St. Petersburg State Ice Ballet is the only group that can perform classical ballet on ice. The founder Konstantin Boyarsky (1915-1974), is the leading actor and director of the Kirov Theatre in St. Petersburg. The leader and director, Konstantin Rassadin is a famous ballet dancer and merited artist of Russia. After he was appointed as the head of the Ballet in 1980, he has choreographed Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Romantic Poems, etc. These works integrate the skills of classical ballet and figure skating, presenting not only the smooth of ice-skating, but also the grace of ballet, which shows the perfect combination of power, skill, self-cultivation and sense of music.

Over 40 ice ballet stars will take part in the China tour this time, and quite a few of them are known athletes, who are winners of figure skating in Russia and in the world.
