Expo gears up for China's National Day

The China Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo will hold National Pavilion Day ceremonies feature a variety of performances on Oct 1, China's National Day, officials said at a press conference on Sept 29.

The official ceremony will start at 10:30 am Oct 1 and more than 700 Chinese and foreign guests will be invited. There will be a performance highlight Chinese traditions and acheivement in the evening, which China Central Televsion will broadcast live to a global audience, said Xu Hubin, director of the China Pavilion, at the press conference.

The China Pavilion has also prepared a series of interactive performances for visitors in the line-up area outside the pavilion on the National Day, including concerts, dancing and traditional opera. Visitors will feel the festive spirit all around the Expo garden during the holiday.
