A stamp of approval on civility

The Qatar Pavilion has created a new passport stamp to reward visitors with good manner. Visitors can get the stamp on their Expo passports -- a reminder of civilized behavior and attention to the environment.

"Expo granny" Tomiyo Yamada was the first to get the special stamp at the Qatar Pavilion this morning. The 61-year-old woman from Japan has made herself a plan to visit the six-month Expo every day. For that reason she rented an apartment near the Expo site.

Meanwhile, 10 children in Arab costumes sang Qatar folk songs and handed out gifts at the pavilion. Other Arab pavilions are also celebrating Night Garango, a festival during Ramadan.
