Spanish band to perform for Expo

Spanish top band Fito & Fitipaldis performed at 6:30pm on August 21 at UBPA Square in Expo Site.

 
Fito & Fitipaldis is one of Spain's top rock bands.
 
The band's singer Fito Cabrales is quite popular in Spain.

Three screens in squares in the band's home city Bilbao broadcasted live the performance. The performance is part of the Bilbao Day in UBPA area in Expo Site in Shanghai and part of the annual Bilbao Semana Grande (Spanish for Big Week) art festival in Bilbao, Spain.

The performance is organized by Bilbao city government through Bilbao Pavilion at UBPA and also received sponsorship from Spain Pavilion.

This performance is also the band's China stop for its world tour titled "Antes de que cuente diez" (Spanish for "Before I count 10"). The band’s album with the same title was the second hottest album in Spain in 2009.

The band was formed in 1998. In the past 11 years, the band recorded four studio albums and two live albums. The band has sold one million copies of their albums. Their latest tour included 104 performances with more than one million audiences.
