The South Africa Pavilion celebrated the country's first hosting of the World Cup before the final between Spain and the Netherlands yesterday night.

Unlike their nervous Spanish and Dutch counterparts, employees of the South Africa Pavilion shared a light moment. They believed the success of the event had put the country in the limelight and helped the world gain a brand-new understanding of the country.

It also improved the country's infrastructure construction, medical treatment and hygiene system, education and culture as well as social security, they said.

A total of 64 matches took place at 10 stadiums in nine cities of South Africa.
