The extravaganza opened with a sign language poem recital.

The night was packed with a variety of programs, from a vocal solo, then a duet... to Chinese and western musical instruments performing in harmony. The night was an affective arousal for audience members as well as a great challenge to the artists.

Audience Memeber, said, "I's greatly impressed. Although these artists confront physical challenges, their upbeat spirits towards life and their perseverance encourage me as well."

Meanwhile, a team of artists from the troupe was in New Delhi, India to join the cultural events celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and India.

Founded in 1987, the China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe is composed of artists with sight, hearing, mental, and physical disabilities, or speech impairments. Their performance at Expo Park on Sunday coincided with China's National Day of Assisting Disabled Persons.
