YE Yanbin  
 

YE Yanbin, writer and poet, was born in North West China in 1948. Since 1980, he has published many collections of poetry, most of which have been translated into English, French, German, Japanese, and Italian. The work of YE Yanbin is studied in schools and universities.

His collections of poems include No Regret (1983), Mother Spring (1986), Mourn from the Heart (1986), Prisoner and Pigeon (1988), Halfway Between Heaven and Hell (1989), Honeymoon Words (1989), City Romance (1989), Song of Blood (1991), Adam’s Apple (1992), Contemporary Jiu Ge (1992), Be with You (1993), Flame of Rose (1994), Impression of the 21st Century (1997).YE Yanbin has won more than forty literary prizes.
