SHU Cai  
 

SHU Cai was born in 1965 in Zhejiang Province. He graduated from the Foreign Language University in Beijing (French language and literature), and he was from 1990 to 1994 Chinese ambassador in Senegal.

He now lives and works in Beijing. He translated to Chinese works of Pierre Reverdy, René Char, Arthur Rimbaud, Saint-John Perse and Yves Bonnefoy.
