Eastern Voices

Having 56 minorities living within its borders, China definitely has an abundant cultural diversity. This diversity can clearly be found in the different singing techniques which arose throughout the centuries. The concert Eastern Voices will be an anthology of the most beautiful voices that can be heard in China, ranging from the throat singing tradition of Mongolia to the Kunqu Opera, from the beautiful songs of the Yi and the Uyghur to the dazzling heights of Tibetan chants.
