The Manhan Opera is a new opera form based on Mongolian Errentai, combined with aspects of other operas in China such as the Jin Opera and Peking Opera. It was named after the Manhan Tune, a ballad form which is popular in the west of Mongolia and adopted into the aria music of the opera.
