Reba Dance
( 2005-10-17 )

Reba, or Rebazhuo, is popularly known as "drum and bell dance." It is a dance characterized by the sweeping and flowing long sleeves amidst a continuous tinkling of bells and the robust sound of drums. Dancers perform it with acrobatic agility and high-flung emotions.

Reba dancers put on colorful clothes, hang big drums on their waists, wave the drumsticks, and move forward and back with powerful rhythm.

It is said this ancient form of dance could protect people from evil spirits and help them live in harmony.
