Romantic Musical Lights Up Bird's Nest

A visual and audio extravaganza has debuted at the "Bird's Nest", the landmark stadium of the Beijing Olympics. The success of this large scale stage show is also giving the stadium new life during the post Olympic era.

The musical is a story of two lovers separated by time. The lead roles are played by popular singers Tan Jing and Wu Kequn. Film director Lu Chuan, who has two critically acclaimed films under his belt, Ke Ke Xi Li and Nan King Nan King, takes the helm.

The show also summoned up an international production team behind the dazzling visual and audio effects. Background scenes are played on a huge LED screen. And the vast stadium also provides space to create a mind-boggling show for audiences.

Tan Jing, lead actress of "Bird's Nest Allures", said, "The audience will feel like they're watching a movie one moment, then seeing the real life acting another moment. It's a blending of various art forms, it's also a perfect mixture of art and hi-tech."

Wu Kequn, lead actor of "Bird's Nest Allures", said, "Galas are not new to audiences. But we'll give them something different. And it's impossible other than at the Bird's Nest."
