The Third NCPA Chorus Festival Wowed Fans

 

The National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing celebrates the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China with performances by the PLA Navy Arts Ensemble July 31 through Aug 1. The concert also celebrated the 60th anniversary of the foundation of the PLA Navy Arts Ensemble.

The NCPA August Chorus Festival 2011 welcomes another opportunity to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Community Party of China with performances of A River Dyed Red on Aug3 and Aug 4 by the Heilongjiang Ping Opera Theatre. The opera has been performed more than 400 times and won numerous national awards.

Peking Opera couples celebrate Chinese Valentine’s Day and the CPCA Chorus Festival with a performance of Love of Double Seventh Festival on Aug 5 in Beijing. The seventh day of the seventh month in the lunar calendar is called "Double Sevenths Festival". On this day, characters named Cowherd and Weaver Girl meet on the Milky Way according to a traditional legend known as the Story of Wang Baochuan.

Award winning pianist Sun Yingdi performs at the NCPA Chorus Festival in Beijing on Aug 5. Sun won First Prize at the prestigious 7th International Franz Liszt Piano Competition, which was held in Utrecht in 2005. He has since embarked on a demanding international concert tour. For more than two years, this tour has taken him around the globe to stops at concert halls in France, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Great Britain, Finland, Switzerland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, China, New Zealand, South Africa and the United States.
