Yuanmingyuan, or the Old Summer Palace in Beijing, is commemorating the 150th anniversary of being burnt and looted by the Anglo-Saxon allied army. It sends some of its unearthed and renovated relics on tour across China. The relics have arrived at the first stop of the tour in Nanjing, a city in east China.

Porcelain bowl pieces, glazed adornments of buildings, a Buddhist wheel, and some vases, porcelain plates, jars and a brick are among the exhibits.

Chen Mingjie, director of Yuanmingyuan Admin. Office, said, "This is the first time that the relics are going outside Yuanmingyuan. It will allow them to be exposed to a wider audience."
