About the author: Wu Guangrong, born in Anhui Province (Central China) in 1961. Art education at Nanjing Academy of Fine Arts, 1985-1989. Works Human and Water Resource admitted into national-level Exhibition of Ceramic Art and Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art Competition, 1990.

Size: 26cm x 12cm x 33cm

About the author: Huang Huanyi, trained at Jingdezhen Pottery and Porcelain Institute. Art teacher since 1985. Works awarded in Japan, 1992. Winner of the third prize at the National Ceramics Competition in Beijing, 1994.

Size: 38cm x 38cm x 50cm

About the author: Zhang Runsheng, born in Anhui Province (Central China). Art education at Tianjin Design College, Tianjin (a port city in North China), 1984-1985. Works first admitted into nation-level exhibition, 1988. Quite a lot of publications in national ceramics literature. Works in both domestic and overseas collections.

About the author: Gao Feng, started to learn ceramics from his father Gao Zhuang in 1978. Hardly any formal training. Cencentration on the practical aspect of ceramics works. Entries in over 10 exhibitions at home and abroad.

Sunflower Plate (1 piece) By Gao Yongjian

Size: 30cm x 30cm x 10cm

About the author: Gao Yongjian, received tuition in 1940's from a well-known Chinese sculptor. Job as a designer in Hong Kong after World War II. Back to mainland China in 1950 and engaged in ceramics ever since. Works acquired as permanent collection by the Great Hall of People (Beijing), etc. Started art teaching at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, 1963. Later President of the Academy and now Permanent Professor of the Academy's Design Branch. 

Grotto Series (1 piece) By Liu Pinchang

 Size: 62cm x 26cm x 45cm

About the author: Liu Pinchang, born in Jiangxi Province (South China) in 1962. Trained as a sculptor in Jingdezhen Pottery and Porcelain Institute, 1978-1982. Acquired MA degree, 1988. Promotion to associate professor, 1992, and Deputy Dean of Department of Sculpture. Transferred with the same title to the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, 1995. Now Head of in-campus ceramics studio.

Size: 12cm x 12cm x 16cm 24cm x 24cm x 19cm

About the author: Wong May Lee, born in 1947. Art education in Hong Kong, 1971-1976; Study of ceramics in Oxfordshire, Hong Kong, Taipei, China's mainland and Australia, 1976-1992. Founded her own ceramics studio, 1984. Memberships include: Permanent Member, Hong Kong Crafts Society; Member, Hong Kong Artist's Association; Member, Hong Kong Art Education Society.

Size: 23cm x 23cm x 18cm

About the author: Li Jianjun, art education at Tianjin Arts and Crafts College until 1990. Founded his own ceramics studio, 1992. One-man exhibition, 1993. Works exhibited in Japan and Singapore.
