About the author: Dai Shufeng, art education at Jingdezhen Pottery and Porcelain Institute, followed by graduation from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts with MA in 1996. Presently an artist-in-residence at the Environmental Art Department of South China Construction College (Guangzhou).

About the author: Zhou Guozhen, native of Hunan Anren, born in 1962. Graduated from Central Academy of Fine Arts, 1954. Professor and Honorary Dean of Art Department, Jingdezhen Pottery and Porcelain Institute. Councl Member of China Artists Association.

Bowl of Oil-drops (a) (1 piece) By Chen Dapeng

Size: 16cm x 16cm x 7cm

About the author: Chen Dapeng, education in Shandong Province (North China). Years of practice in ceramics arts. Innovation of a special tool enables the glaze on his work unusually shinning, for which he won the golden-cup of China Arts and Crafts prize, 1988. Works appeared both at home and broad.

About the author: Wang Jianzhong, ceramics training at Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University, Beijing, 1978-1982. Associate professor and Deputy-Dean at its Department of Ceramics. Works traveled widely and in public and private collections.

About the author: Liu Jianping, born in Jiangsu Province (East China) in 1957. Interest in ceramics from 1976. Formal education in Nanjing Academy of Fine Arts, 1983; and Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University (Beijing), 1989. Winner of over 10 national and provincial awards. Works traveled widely.

Mandarin Fish (1 piece) By Li Zhengwen

Size: 30cm x 20cm x 10cm

About the author: Li Zhengwen, trained as a sculptor at Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, until 1996. As early as from 1973, art teacher at Hubei College of Fine Arts (Hubei Province, Central China). Works admitted into international ceramics exhibitions, 1992 and 1995, held respectively in Beijing and Jingdezhen.

About the author: Chen Jun, born in Chongqing (Southwest China) in 1966. Graduated from the Jingdezhen Pottery and Porcelain Institute, 1988. Transferred to Hubei College of Fine Arts as an art teacher, 1991. Works appeared at both provincial and national exhibitions.

About the Author: Sun Jiabo, born in Beijing in 1940. Art education at Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, 1955-1965 and 1978-1980. Traveled around Asia and Europe with exhibitions of his own works. Now works as a professor at the Academy from which he graduated.

Presently professor at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.

About the author: Hu Xiaojun, art education at Jingdezhen Pottery and Porcelain Institute until 1990. Debut one-man exhibition, 1992. Participated in the Joint Exhibition of Chinese Artists, Singapore, 1993, and National Art Exhibition in honor of the 45th anniversary of the founding of P.R. China, 1994.

About the author: Qin Ruisheng, art teacher of Jingdezhen Pottery and Porcelain Institute. Interest in contemporary ceramics started in 1989. Locally well-known.

About the author: Li Gang, born in 1932. Associate professor of Hubei College of Fine Arts. Graduated from Hubei Arts College until 1959, then stayed as a teacher. Dean, Department of Plastic Designing, 1980-1985. Director, Department of Ceramics, Hubei College of Fine Arts, 1996-1997. Now retired.
