After graduation from university in south China, Chen Jianbin and Liu Xiaohui get married and begin to work in Beijing. They live a peaceful life for seven years. Jianbin has been unemployed for three months but cannot bring himself to tell his wife the truth. Every morning he accompanies Xiaohui to go to work and back home in the subway. A pursuer of his wife increases Jianbin's sense of inferiority and fear for losing Xiaohui. Misunderstanding and living embarrassment drives the couple in love to the edge of parting. Until Xiaohui finds Jianbin is lying about going abroad, their love is no longer concealed.
