At 33.9 cm high with a mouth diameter of 23.1 cm and a weight of 11.45 kg, the bronze gui with dragon handles is a representative of this period kept at the Palace Museum.
The vessel is short with a big belly, a wide opening and a thin neck. The large body is connected with a square pedestal. Two handles are in the shape of curling dragons. The handle of the cover is ingeniously made into a lotus flower with a panhuiwen (coiled-dragon pattern) decorated in the middle. The cover, outside wall of the belly and pedestal are filled with the chonghuanwen (double-ring motif).
Majestic and elegant, the style of this gui is a standard of the Middle and Late Spring and Autumn period.
