Cheng Jianzheng, curator of Shaanxi Historical Museum, said, "The statue has been under close watch. It has almost never been publicly displayed. Every year, some warriors go on tour. But this piece has only been to Taiwan."
An enduring mystery of the terra cotta warriors, the green-faced statue goes before the public this weekend. It is perhaps the most fascinating exhibit at the Shaanxi Ancient Civilization Exhibition. Another important relic at the exhibition is a Buddhist statue that dates back to the Five Dynasties era 15 hundred years ago.
