Xu Zongwei on Tibetan Architecture

 

Xu Zongwei, an official with the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, began studying Tibet's traditional architecture culture in 2001.

He said Tibetan architecture is influenced by Tibetan Buddhism, exchanged with Han culture, and has evolved over time with the economic development of Tibet. Xu developed his own framework based on the five thoughts to analyze Tibetan architecture.
