The memorial is composed of three parts, the Comrade Xiang Jingyu's Former Residence, the Exhibition Room of Comrade Xiang Jingyu's Life Story and the Monument Square. The Xiang Jingyu's Former Residence, covering a space of 1,200 square meters, is aSiheyuan(a compound with houses around a square courtyard) in wooden structure with local features. Inside the courtyard of the Former Residence, there are two exhibitions, the Exhibition of Restored Former Residence and the Exhibition of Comrade Xiang Jingyu's Original Handwritings, showing over 40 material objects and over 30 exhibits of her compositions, diaries and reading notes of her school days, as well as the articles and letters written during her revolutionary activities. The Exhibition Room of Comrade Xiang Jingyu's Life Story, with the touring length of 41 meters and exhibition space of 84 square meters, lies to the east side of the former residence. The exhibits include the book case, dressing box, sewing kit and shoe brush used by Comrade Xiang Jingyu during her school days as well as the manuscripts of articles and letters she wrote in the period of the founding of the CPC and the First Civil Revolutionary War. In the Monument Square is a monument with Comrade Xiang Jingyu's statue of 9.4 meters tall. The monument is engraved with the full article ofthe Biography of Comrade Xiang Jingyuwritten by Comrade Cai Hesen in July 1928 in Moscow.
The memorial has sponsored several temporary exhibitions such as the Exhibition of Unequal Treaty Imposed on China by Imperialism, the Exhibition of Party History of the CPC in Xupu and the Exhibition of Heroic Martyrs in Xupu.
