Huang Jiguang Memorial

The Huang Jiguang Memorial is a museum in memory of Martyr Huang Jiguang, a volunteer army man winning the title of Special-Class Hero. In 1962, it was built in the Confucian Temple of Zhongjiang County in Sichuang Province, his hometown. In 1989, a new museum was built covering a total space of 16,000 square meters with a floor space of 2,000 square meters. In the memorial scenic area are the China-Korea Friendship Pavilion and the white marble sculpture of the hero sacrificing himself in the battle.

The memorial consists of 5 exhibition halls with 200 exhibits, telling about Huang Jiguan's life story with the emphasis on the deed of sacrificing himself in the Shangganling Battle during the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea.
