The Exhibition Hall of Scientific Experiment of Daqing Oilfield Development, located at Daqing City in Heilongjiang Province, is a specialized science and technology museum. The exhibition hall, completed on August 2, 1960, was called the Underground Palace at that time. Later on, the exhibition hall was gradually expanded and perfected.

The geological samples collected by the exhibition hall are very rich. The exhibition hall has collected 170,000 meters of core samples from the Songliao Basin, the Hailar Basin and the Sanjiang Basin. These samples are from over 1,300 explored oil wells and reference oil wells and are being increased with each passing year.

The exhibition hall, covering an area of 1,480 square meters and having 2,500 samples and objects and 500 pieces of technical charts and models on display, is divided into four display rooms: the Display Room of Petroleum Geography and Recovery, briefing the basic knowledge of generation and storage of petroleum, the ways and means of exploration and the technology of recovery; the Display Room of the Daqing Oilfield, showing the special features of the petroleum geography of the Daqing Oilfield, the process of exploration and development and the technical measures for different development stages; the Display Room of Core Samples, showing the cross section of the oil reservoir of the Daqing Oilfield at the scale of 1:1 and the cross section of the stratum of the Songliao Basin at the scale of 1: 200; and the Display Room of Achievements in Scientific Researches showing the main achievements made by the scientific research personnel of Daqing in the respects of petroleum geology and oilfield development.
