Situated in Tang County of Hebei Province, the Memorial Hall of Bethune and Kotnis at Tang County was built in memory of foreign friends who sacrificed their life to help the Chinese people in the Anti-Japanese War. It was first built in 1940, and got the present name in 1984.

The memorial hall consists of two halls respectively for Bethune and Kotnis, with their marble statues in front of each hall. It houses hundreds of historical photos, documents and real objects, including inscriptions by Mao Zedong, Zhu De, Ye Jianying, Nian Rongzhen, LüZhengcao and Shu Tong as well as Indian Premier Gandhi, etc. The Memorial Hall of Bethune and Kotnis at Tang County and the Bethune Memorial Hall in Canada became sister memorials in 1986.
