Revolutionary Base Museum of Sichuan and Shaanxi

The Revolutionary Base Museum of Sichuan and Shaanxi, located at Bazhong County of Sichuan Province, the center of the then Sichuan and Shaanxi Revolutionary Base Areas, is a local special museum of China. The museum, built in 1951, used to be the People's Cultural Museum of Bazhong County. In 1958, it was named the Bazhong County Revolutionary Museum, in 1961 renamed Bazhong Memorial Hall of Sichuan and Shaanxi Revolutionary Base Areas, and in 1979 changed into the Revolutionary Base Museum of Sichuan and Shaanxi.

The museum has collected the revolutionary relics such asthe Labor Decree of the First Congress of China National Soviet (Draft), a stone inscription of the Soviet Government of Sichuan and Shaanxi Provinces, the Draft Resolution of Developing Anti-Imperialism Movement in Sichuan and Shaanxipassed by the Second Party Congress of the CPC of Sichuan and Shaanxi Provinces,the Political Situations at Present and Tasks of the Soviet of Sichuan and Shaanxi Provincesand the books and paintings of the contemporary celebrities in praise of the Red Army. The museum has held basic displays of the Fourth Front Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army under the leadership of the CPC from 1932 to 1935 and the political, economical, military and cultural construction of the people in Sichuan and Shaanxi for establishing the Second Soviet Region. These displays express in a systematical way the history of the struggles how the CPC with Mao Zedong as the head led the army and the people in the Sichuan and Shaanxi Revolutionary Bases to carry out the land-reform revolution during the period of the Second Revolutionary Civil War.
