The Exhibition Hall of Landlord Manor at Dayi was founded in November 1958 and opened to the public at the end of 1959. In 1980, the Landlord Manor at Dayi was listed as a historical site under the protection of the Province.
The Exhibition Hall has a collection of over 2,700 items, of which 15 items belong to Class One collection, including a set of table and chairs made of red sandalwood inlaid with marble top. There are eight armchairs with the height of 108 cm, width of 99 cm and depth of 60, each embedded with 27 valuable pearls of different colors. The four sides of each chair are inlaid with mother-of-pearl in the pattern of flower and grass.
The Old Residence is the main exhibition area. The basic exhibition is composed of four interrelated parts, the Prelude, the Farmhands' Dwelling, the Scene of Liu Wencai's Life and the Rent Collecting Yard, a group of large clay sculptures. The New Residence is arranged for displaying the folk customs of the Western Sichuan Province.
