Dou Jianfu, a 59-year-old folk artist in NE China’s Changchun city, has seen a great deal of interest in his sand paintings.

Over the last few decades, he devoted himself to the craft and created the colorful artwork in a unique style.

Most of his inspirations are from daily life and represent the people’s love and longing for a better life.
