Beautiful Accident

, the acting debut of entertainment giant Huayi Brother co-founder Wang Zhonglei's 11-year-old son, Wang Yuanye, drew many celebrities to the film's promotional event in Beijing on Sunday.

Directed by Malaysian filmmaker Wi Ding Ho, the movie also stars Taiwan actress Kwai Lun-mei, Chinese mainland actors Wang Jingchun and Chen Kun. The tale centers on a single female lawyer, who is astonished to find that she had become a mother of two children after an accident.

Wang Yuanye stars as one of the children, while Kwai plays the lawyer and Chen the father.

Action star Jackie Chan, film director Feng Xiaogang, actress Angelababy and actor Feng Shaofeng, known for his Sino-French film Wolf Totem and the Monkey King franchise, came to the event.

Chan said he loved the "heartwarming tale that finely depicts family emotions".

Ho, the film's director, said his teenage daughter inspired him.

"Children are really good at capturing the nuances of change. So in the movie, children are the first to find their mother looking weird and different," he said.

The movie will be released in China on June 2.
